Hole saw, Wolfcraft 1 conduit hole saw (model 3477000)
Wolfcraft 1 conduit hole saw (model 3477000) is a circular cutting tool designed to create precise round openings for conduit, piping and cable passages. Manufactured by Wolfcraft GmbH, this hole saw is intended for use with compatible drills and arbors and is suitable for cutting openings in materials that match the blade’s cutting capabilities. The product is supplied in a storage box on card for safe transport and storage.
The hole saw is tungsten carbide coated to improve wear resistance when cutting through common building materials. It is designed for a wide range of installation work including sockets, distribution boxes and tube penetrations. The tool is suitable for use in masonry and lightweight construction materials such as brick walls, breeze blocks and plasterboard, as well as certain tile types when used with appropriate drilling technique and equipment.
Mount the hole saw on the appropriate arbor and secure it to a compatible drill following the drill and arbor manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the centre point of the required hole on the workpiece, position the pilot bit or arbor tip, and start drilling at low speed until the pilot locates and the hole saw begins to cut. Increase speed gradually and maintain steady pressure while cutting. For masonry and tiles use appropriate drill settings, cooling and supporting techniques; for plasterboard and lightweight materials use lower speed and gentle feed to avoid tearing. After cutting, remove the cut core and inspect the hole for fit and finish.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves and dust mask) and select the correct arbor, pilot bit and drill speed for the material. For tiled surfaces, protect the tile surface and start with a low speed to prevent cracking. For masonry, consider using a hammer drill or slower feed with cooling breaks to extend tool life. Store the hole saw in its supplied storage box to protect the cutting edge.
