Hole saws tungsten carbide coated Wolfcraft 3894000
The Wolfcraft 3894000 tungsten carbide coated hole saw is a single-piece cutting tool designed for installation and general drilling tasks. With a cutting diameter of 4.3 cm and a tungsten carbide coating, the hole saw is intended for use in masonry and building materials such as brick, breeze block, gypsum plasterboard and ceramic tile. The tool includes an 8 mm TCT centring drill with a hex shank and is supplied in a compact storage box for safe transport and tidy storage.
The tungsten carbide coating provides improved wear resistance and consistent cutting performance when working with abrasive and dense materials. Being a single-piece construction, the hole saw is ready for direct use without a separate mandrel, and it is suitable for creating deeper boreholes. The included TCT centring drill with hex shank ensures precise guidance and fast attachment to compatible drill chucks or quick-change adaptors.
Secure the centring drill in the drill chuck or quick-change holder and mount the hole saw body on the centring drill as supplied. Position the centring drill at the marked centre of the hole and start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot position, then increase speed and apply steady, even pressure. For masonry and tile, use intermittent drilling and withdraw the tool periodically to clear debris and reduce heat build-up. For ceramic surfaces, start with a low speed and a light feed to avoid chipping; consider masking the surface to protect the finish. Wear appropriate eye, hand and dust protection when drilling.
Use the hole saw with a drill that provides stable torque and variable speed control. For best results in masonry and tile, use slow to medium speed, keep the cutting area clear of dust, and allow the tungsten carbide coating to do the cutting without excessive force. Replace the centring drill if it becomes worn or damaged to maintain accurate guidance.
