Bi-metal hole saws wolfcraft GmbH 5475000
Bi-metal hole saws by Wolfcraft (model 5475000) are designed for versatile drilling tasks with cordless screwdrivers. The hole saw features a specially alloyed BiM body with HSS teeth and is suitable for cutting wood, plywood, steel, non-ferrous heavy metals, various plastics and gypsum plaster boards. The set includes a 6 mm HSS centring drill and the tool can be used directly without a separate mandrel. The product is supplied in a compact storage box and has a diameter of 74 mm.
The BiM construction combines an alloyed tool body with high-speed steel teeth for improved wear resistance and cutting performance across different materials. Being directly usable without an additional mandrel simplifies setup and reduces the number of required accessories. The included 6 mm HSS centring drill ensures accurate starts and stable drilling.
Mount the hole saw in a compatible cordless screwdriver or drill according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Fit the included 6 mm HSS centring drill into the saw and position the pilot on the marking. Start drilling at low speed to ensure correct centring, then increase speed and apply steady, moderate pressure. Clear chips periodically and avoid overheating by pausing if necessary. After completing the cut, remove the saw and clear the cut material from the teeth.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses and gloves) and select drilling speeds suitable for the material. For metal work, use cutting lubricant to extend tool life and reduce heat generation. Ensure the drill or screwdriver provides sufficient torque for a 74 mm hole saw.
