How to use

Mark the centre of the desired hole on the workpiece, then secure the workpiece to prevent movement. Fit the hole saw to a compatible cordless screwdriver, ensuring the cutting edges are clear and the included 6 mm centring drill is installed. Start drilling at low speed to allow the centring drill to locate the point, then increase speed and apply steady pressure suited to the material. Withdraw periodically for chip clearing when cutting thicker or metal materials. After cutting, deburr the edge if necessary to achieve a clean finish.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as eye protection and gloves, and clamp the workpiece securely. For metal and hardwoods, use moderate speed and light, steady pressure to avoid overheating; for plasterboard and plastics, a slightly higher speed can improve cutting speed. Keep the HSS centring drill sharp and replace the tool if excessive wear on the teeth reduces cutting quality.
