The wolfcraft FKS 145 guide rail is a two-piece aluminium rail designed for use with mains-operated and cordless circular hand saws that have a small base plate. It supports saws with a cutting depth of 40–70 mm, blade diameters of 130–200 mm and base plate sizes from 78 x 210 mm to 256 x 385 mm. Two foam rubber strips on the underside provide non-slip contact with the workpiece, while two clamps with protective caps secure the rail to the surface without causing damage. The rail separates in the middle and can be joined with two connectors; one section covers cut lengths up to 55 cm and both sections together provide up to 110 cm. With the optional extension set (art. no. 6914000) the rail can be extended to a cutting length of 220 cm for longer workpieces.

How to use

Assemble the FKS 145 by joining the two sections with the supplied connectors if a longer cutting length is required or use a single section for shorter cuts. Position the rail on the workpiece and secure it using the two clamps with protective caps to avoid damage to the surface. Place the circular saw on the plastic guide carriage, then use the three adjustment screws to align the carriage precisely to the rail. Use the integrated alignment aid to set the correct distance between the saw blade and the rail. Make the cut by running the saw along the rail; the notches in the rail will open and close the saw’s safety guard automatically as the carriage passes over them.

Usage recommendations

Check that your circular saw’s base plate and blade dimensions match the rail’s compatibility range before use. For cutting lengths beyond 110 cm, use the optional extension set (art. no. 6914000). Ensure clamps are tight and the underside rubber strips make full contact with the workpiece to prevent slipping and marking.
