Tile and Glass Drill Wolfcraft 7974010
The Tile and Glass Drill Wolfcraft 7974010 is a specialist drill bit designed for precise drilling in ceramic tiles, glass panes, mirrors and similar brittle materials. It features an accurately ground lance-shaped carbide (TCT) tip that provides clean cutting and improved wear resistance for both DIY and professional use. The drill is supplied in a plastic bag on card and is compatible with standard electric drills when used according to the recommended conditions.
The tungsten carbide (TCT) lance-shaped plate is ground to a precise geometry to reduce chipping and to produce smooth holes in glass, mirrors, ceramics, porcelain and bottles. The bit is intended for clockwise rotation at low speed and with low pressure; cooling with water, turpentine or petroleum is required to protect the cutting edge and ensure consistent results. Packaging is a plastic bag on a card for simple storage and identification.
Secure the workpiece to prevent movement. Fit the Wolfcraft 7974010 drill bit into a standard electric drill and set the drill to a low rotational speed. Start drilling with gentle, steady pressure while maintaining clockwise rotation. Apply a continuous cooling medium such as water, turpentine or petroleum to the drilling area to reduce heat and prevent damage to the carbide tip and the material being drilled. If the bit or material shows signs of overheating or excessive wear, stop and allow cooling before continuing.
Use only at low speeds and with minimal axial pressure while keeping the drilling area continuously cooled. The bit is designed for brittle materials; avoid high-speed or high-pressure drilling and do not use in reverse rotation.
