Tile and Glass Drill Wolfcraft 7976010
The Tile and Glass Drill Wolfcraft 7976010 is a precision drill bit designed for clean, accurate drilling in ceramic tiles, glass panes, mirrors and similar brittle materials. It features a precisely ground lance-shaped carbide plate (TCT) that provides long service life and minimal chipping. The bit is intended for clockwise rotation at low speed with low pressure and must be cooled during use with water, turpentine or petroleum. The product is supplied in a plastic bag on card and is compatible with standard drill chucks.
The drill’s exactly ground lance-shaped carbide (TCT) tip ensures precise cutting and reduced break-out on fragile surfaces such as glass and porcelain. Its construction offers durability for repeated use on tiles, bottles and mirrors when used with the recommended low-speed, clockwise drilling and external cooling. The packaging keeps the bit protected until installation.
Secure the workpiece and mark the drilling point. Fit the Wolfcraft 7976010 into a standard drill chuck. Set the drill to rotate clockwise at low speed. Apply light, steady pressure—do not force the bit. Keep the drilling area cooled continuously with water, turpentine or petroleum to prevent overheating and to prolong tip life. If the bit starts to bind, stop and reapply cooling before continuing. After drilling, clean the bit and store it in its packaging.
Use the drill only in clockwise rotation at low speed and with light pressure; always provide continuous cooling (water, turpentine or petroleum) to avoid damage to the carbide tip and the workpiece.
