Wire cup brush Wolfcraft WF2709000 38 mm cup, 6 mm shank, waved wire
Wire cup brush Wolfcraft WF2709000 38 mm cup, 6 mm shank, waved wire
Wolfcraft WF2709000 wire cup brush with a 38 mm cup diameter and a 6 mm shank is designed for surface preparation and cleaning of metal parts. The brush has waved steel bristles arranged to increase contact area and improve removal of rust, paint, scale and welding residues. It is intended for use with rotary tools and die grinders that accept a 6 mm shank and provides controlled material removal on small to medium workpieces.
The waved steel wire construction ensures flexible yet aggressive brushing action, reducing vibration while maintaining effective cutting of corrosion and coatings. The compact 38 mm cup allows access to confined areas and curved surfaces. A 6 mm shank provides compatibility with standard rotary tool chucks and collets, enabling fast tool changes. The brush balance and bristle layout are optimized for stable rotation and consistent surface finish.
Secure the 6 mm shank in the tool’s chuck or collet and ensure the brush is firmly seated before operation. Start the rotary tool at low speed to check balance and runout, then increase to the recommended working speed for the tool and accessory. Apply light, even pressure and move the cup brush across the workpiece to remove rust, paint or weld residues; avoid forcing the brush to prevent premature wire loss or damage to the substrate. Use appropriate cutting speed and intermittent passes when working on thin or heat-sensitive materials.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment: safety glasses with side protection, gloves, and protective clothing. Use hearing protection if the tool generates high noise levels. Inspect the brush before each use for wire wear or damage and replace it if significant wire loss or imbalance occurs. Do not use the brush on masonry, wood, or other non-metallic materials where wire fragments could embed or cause damage.
