Freestanding safe Yale YSEB/400/EB1 Steel Black Combination lock
The Yale YSEB/400/EB1 is a freestanding steel safe with a black finish designed for secure storage of valuables at home or in the office. Compact in size (350 mm W × 340 mm D × 400 mm H) and weighing 17 kg, it offers a combination lock with more than 100,000 possible pin code combinations, internal hanging hooks, an internal light and a mechanical override key for emergency access.
This high security motorised safe features a laser-cut door that increases resistance to physical attack and a lock-down function that activates for one minute after three incorrect pin attempts. The unit combines electronic pin code access (4–8 digits) with a double-bitted mechanical override key, providing both convenience and a reliable emergency entry method. The compact steel construction and internal fittings make it suitable for storing documents, cash, electronics and small valuables.
Install the safe on a stable, level surface and place batteries in the designated compartment. Set a memorable 4–8 digit pin code following the manufacturer’s instructions. To open the safe, enter the pin and turn the handle or motorised mechanism as indicated. If you enter an incorrect pin three times, the lock-down function will activate for one minute, after which you may try again. If the electronic access fails or you forget the pin, use the supplied double-bitted mechanical key to gain emergency access.
Place the safe in a discreet, fixed location and consider bolting it to the floor or furniture if permitted. Store backup copies of important documents separately and change the pin code periodically. Keep the mechanical override key in a secure but separate location from the safe.
