Diagonal-cutting pliers YATO YT-1950, 125 mm, cuts up to 3 mm, hardness 43–62 HRC
YATO YT-1950 diagonal-cutting pliers, 125 mm in length, are designed for precise diagonal cutting of wires and thin metal elements with a maximum cutting diameter of 3 mm. The cutting edges are made of heat-treated jaw steel with a hardness in the 43–62 HRC range, providing wear resistance and consistent cutting performance in compact format suited to tasks that require accuracy and access to confined spaces.
These diagonal-cutting pliers combine a compact 125 mm body with hardened cutting edges to deliver reliable performance when trimming, stripping or cutting soft and medium-hard wires and small pins. The tool’s heat-treated jaws reduce the risk of premature edge deformation, while the ergonomic size improves control and access in tight assemblies. The construction is intended to provide stable cutting force and a predictable service life under typical workshop and field conditions.
Position the wire or small part between the cutting edges near the pivot for maximum leverage and a clean cut. Apply steady pressure to the handles until the material is severed; avoid twisting motions during cutting. For repeated use, periodically inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping and replace the tool if cutting performance deteriorates. Do not use the pliers on hardened steel or materials exceeding the specified 3 mm diameter to prevent damage.
Use the pliers for their intended purpose of cutting soft and medium-hard wires and small metal elements. Keep the cutting edges clean and lightly oiled to reduce corrosion. Store in a dry place and avoid excessive side loads or levering to preserve the hardened edges and maintain safe operation.
