Advantages

How to use

Turn on the tester and select the required sensitivity mode. Hold the instrument near the insulated conductor, outlet or device under test and observe the LCD, LED and audible signals; the frequency of indications increases as the tester approaches the voltage source. In low sensitivity mode, bring the tester close to or touch the wire for a clear signal. In high sensitivity mode, a response can be detected at short distances (approximately 1–5 cm depending on installation and voltage). To check for a cable break, move the tester along the run: the indication will stop at the break point. To preserve battery life, the tester switches off automatically after about three minutes of inactivity.

Usage recommendations

Use the YATO YT-28320 as a preliminary, non-contact check for the presence of AC voltage. It is not a substitute for insulated contact testing or full voltage measurement instruments when precise voltage values, polarity or safety verification under load are required.
