Hammer YATO YT-4496, claw hammer, weight 600 g, single piece
YATO YT-4496 claw hammer with a 600 g head is a hand tool intended for general carpentry, demolition and fastening tasks. The single-piece pack contains one hammer with a balanced striking head and a curved claw designed for efficient nail removal. The tool is suitable for DIY, construction and workshop environments where medium-impact striking and prying are required.
The hammer features a 600 g cold-forged head with a blackened surface that improves wear resistance and reduces glare. A wooden shank is painted and additionally protected with a rubber guard ring to improve grip and reduce slippage. The head-to-handle connection is secured by a metal, ring-shaped wedge to ensure reliable assembly during repeated use. Manufactured in accordance with GS and DIN 1041 standards for quality and safety.
Hold the wooden handle close to the end to maximise control and striking force, ensuring the rubber guard ring faces the palm for secure grip. Position the hammer head square to the nail or component before a measured swing to avoid glancing blows. To remove nails, insert the curved claw under the nail head and lever against a suitable fulcrum surface; use controlled force to avoid damaging the workpiece. Inspect the head and handle connection periodically and stop use if the wedge loosens or the handle shows significant damage.
Use protective eyewear and gloves when striking or prying. Select the YATO YT-4496 claw hammer for medium-impact tasks; for heavier demolition or precision finishing, choose a tool with a different head weight or design. Store the hammer in a dry place to protect the wooden handle and maintain the blackened finish on the head.
