Mallet YATO YT-4601 — rubber head, wooden handle, 340 g
Double-sided rubber mallet with a wooden handle designed for striking without damaging surfaces. The 340 g head provides light, controlled blows for delicate finishing tasks in woodworking, assembly and light mechanical work. The mallet combines a rubber head that reduces rebound and marking with an ergonomically profiled lacquered wooden handle that absorbs shock for improved control. Head dimensions are 79.5 × 49 mm and the overall length is 291 mm.
The dual rubber faces minimise rebound and reduce the risk of surface damage compared with steel hammers. The ergonomically shaped wooden handle gives a natural grip and additional shock damping, while the balanced 340 g head enables precise strike control and lower user fatigue during extended use. The Ø49 mm striking face ensures even force distribution for consistent results.
Hold the lacquered wooden handle with a firm but comfortable grip and position the rubber striking face against the target area. Deliver controlled blows with the 340 g rubber head, using lighter taps for delicate finishing and slightly firmer strikes for assembly or alignment. Maintain a straight wrist and strike squarely to ensure even force distribution and prevent unintended surface marks.
Use the mallet for tasks that require non-marring impact; avoid striking hardened steel or sharp edges directly with the rubber face. Store in a dry place and inspect the head and handle periodically for wear. For maximum control, use short, controlled strokes rather than full-arm swings.
