Wrecking/crow bar YATO YT-46804, steel, length 900 mm, 1 pc
YATO YT-46804 is a 900 mm steel wrecking/crow bar supplied as a single piece. Designed for prying, dismantling and heavy-duty demolition tasks, this tool provides the mechanical advantage and robustness required on construction, renovation and rescue sites. The crow bar is forged from manganese steel with the 65Mn designation to ensure strength and wear resistance during repeated levering and impact work.
The 900 mm length gives a balance of reach and control for both confined and open spaces, allowing effective transfer of force for prying and levering. Forging from 65Mn manganese steel increases resistance to bending and abrasion, while the one-piece construction reduces the risk of joint failure under load. The simple, solid design requires minimal maintenance and is suitable for continued heavy use.
Position the chisel or forked end of the crow bar under the object or fastener to be moved. Apply controlled pressure at the handle end to transfer leverage through the bar; reposition the fulcrum point as needed to increase mechanical advantage. Use steady, even force rather than sudden jerks to reduce the risk of tool slip or damage to surrounding materials. When pulling nails or fasteners, use the forked end and protect the work surface with a backing block if required.
For safe and effective use, inspect the crow bar before each use for cracks, severe wear or deformation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, gloves and sturdy footwear. Store the tool in a dry place to limit corrosion and consider light lubrication after cleaning to preserve the steel surface. Avoid using the bar as a hammer or striking it with hard tools to prevent unexpected failure.
