F‑clamp YATO YT-6449 — 30 cm opening, 12 cm jaw length, PP/steel/TPR
YATO YT-6449 is an F-clamp with a 30 cm maximum opening and a 12 cm jaw length, built from polypropylene (PP), steel and thermoplastic rubber (TPR). The clamp combines a rigid steel bar for accurate alignment and clamping force with molded PP jaws that resist deformation. Soft TPR on the handle and pressure pad improves grip and reduces user fatigue during repeated operations. The tool is supplied as a single unit and is intended for securing workpieces during gluing, assembly and light-to-medium woodworking tasks.
The steel bar provides stable parallel pressure and reliable clamping force while the polypropylene jaws protect finished surfaces from marring. The TPR-covered handle and adjustable pressure pad increase user comfort and control. The compact design and 30 cm opening make the clamp suitable for a range of common workshop tasks, and the combination of materials balances strength, weight and surface protection.
Position the clamp so the jaws align with the surfaces to be held, ensuring the workpiece sits squarely within the 12 cm jaw length. Slide the movable jaw along the steel bar to close the gap, then tighten using the TPR-covered handle until the required clamping pressure is achieved. Check that the PP jaw faces are contacting the workpiece evenly to avoid concentrated marks. To release, loosen the handle and slide the movable jaw away from the fixed jaw.
For best results, use the clamp on flat, clean surfaces and avoid excessive overtightening that could deform plastic jaw faces or damage delicate workpieces. Periodically inspect the steel bar and moving parts for wear or debris and wipe clean after use. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion of metal components.
