Square measuring tool YATO YT-70794, stainless steel, 1 pc
YATO YT-70794 is a stainless steel square designed for accurate right-angle marking and layout tasks. Supplied as a single unit, the tool combines a rigid stainless steel blade and an aluminum foot to provide stable, wear-resistant edges for carpentry, metalworking and construction work. The square is intended for checking and transferring 90° and 45° angles, scribing straight lines and verifying workshop layouts on wood, metal and composite materials.
The stainless steel blade and incised millimeter scales on both edges ensure durable, repeatable measurements and clear reference lines. The aluminum foot is mounted to provide firm, defined edges and to set fixed angles of 90°, 45° or 180° for rapid layout work. A step joint mechanism locks the components securely, maintaining alignment during marking and measurement operations. The construction is corrosion-resistant and suitable for frequent use in workshop and site conditions.
Place the aluminum foot against the workpiece edge so the stainless steel blade lies flat on the surface. Use the incised millimeter scales to align the blade at the required dimension, then press the square firmly so the foot seats against the edge. For angle marking, set the foot to one of the fixed positions (90°, 45° or 180°) and verify alignment visually or with an auxiliary square. Scribe or mark along the blade edge using a pencil, scribe or marking knife. When transferring layouts, hold the protractor portion by the bead and, applying light pressure, move the arm to the required position before locking the step joint.
Store the square in a dry place after use to preserve the stainless steel finish and keep the incised scales readable. Clean the blade and foot of debris before precise marking to avoid measurement errors. Use light, consistent pressure when scribing to maintain accuracy and avoid deforming the tool. For repeated angle checks, periodically inspect and tighten the step joint to ensure the lock remains firm.
