Duct Tape Yato YT-8152 10m PVC Black Insulating 12mm
Duct Tape Yato YT-8152 10m PVC Black Insulating 12mm is a narrow PVC insulation tape designed for electrical and general-purpose repairs. The tape is 10 metres long and 12 millimetres wide, with a flexible PVC backing and an adhesive layer suitable for adhering to cables, wires, metal and many common surfaces. It is specified to withstand ambient temperatures in the range of 10°C to 40°C and offers an elongation at break of 125%, providing stretchability for wrapping and sealing around irregular shapes.
The PVC construction gives the tape moisture resistance and electrical insulation properties while the adhesive provides reliable adhesion to plastic, rubber and metal surfaces. Its 125% elongation allows for conformable application and a tight wrap on curved or irregular objects. The 12 mm width is convenient for detailed work and areas where a narrow tape is preferred, and the 10 m length offers multiple uses per roll without frequent replacement.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of oil or dust before applying the tape. Cut or tear a suitable length, position the tape at the starting point and press firmly while wrapping to remove air pockets and ensure adhesion. For electrical insulation, overlap each wrap by approximately half the tape width to create a continuous insulating layer. For best results, apply in a single smooth motion and avoid stretching the tape excessively beyond its elongation capability.
Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance. Not intended for permanent outdoor exposure or for working temperatures outside the specified 10°C to 40°C range. For safety when insulating live circuits, follow applicable electrical safety standards and consider using products rated for the specific voltage and environmental conditions.
