YATO YT-8166 is a PVC electrical insulating tape certified to EN60454-3-1-1/F-PVC/60/R-Tp, designed for wire insulation, colour coding and general electrical repairs. The tape is 19 mm wide, 20 m long and 0.13 mm thick, providing dielectric protection and conformable wrapping for indoor electrical installations and routine maintenance tasks. Its PVC composition ensures basic mechanical protection and resistance to abrasion typical for insulation tasks in household, workshop and light industrial environments.
The tape offers reliable dielectric insulation in accordance with its EN certification and provides good adhesion to common cable jackets and conductors. Its 19 mm width and 0.13 mm thickness make it easy to wrap around single conductors or small cable bundles while the 20 m roll length supplies enough material for multiple small jobs. The PVC construction balances flexibility and dimensional stability, allowing neat layering and colour coding for circuit identification.
Ensure the surface to be wrapped is clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose insulation. Cut an appropriate length of tape from the roll, start wrapping with slight overlap to achieve continuous coverage, and stretch slightly while wrapping to improve conformity and adhesion. For splices or repairs, apply several layers until the desired insulation thickness and dielectric protection are achieved. Avoid use on energized parts where specialized insulating materials or procedures are required beyond the tape's rating.
Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat to preserve adhesive performance. Use the tape for indoor, low-voltage applications and colour coding as intended; for outdoor, high-temperature, high-voltage or permanent underground installations, use products specifically rated for those conditions.
