Drill Chuck with Key YATO 13 mm 1/2" SDS Plus

Replacement drill chuck with key by YATO designed to accept 13 mm (1/2") shanks and to be used with SDS Plus systems. The chuck allows mounting standard round and hexagonal bits in rotary and hammer drills that support an SDS Plus adapter. How to use

Insert the SDS Plus adapter into the drill's spindle according to the drill manufacturer's instructions, if not already fitted. Open the chuck jaws by turning the chuck sleeve counterclockwise, insert the bit fully in the jaws, then tighten the jaws by turning the chuck sleeve clockwise while using the supplied key to secure the bit. Verify that the bit is centered and properly tightened before starting the drill. When using percussion mode for masonry, ensure the bit type and drill settings are appropriate for the material and task.

Usage recommendations

Periodically check and clean the chuck jaws to remove dust and debris. Apply a light machine oil to moving parts if operation becomes stiff. Always use the correct bit type and suitable drill speed for the material, and ensure personal protective equipment is worn while drilling or chiseling.
