How to use

Place the copper braid over the solder joint to be removed, then apply the soldering iron tip to the braid so heat transfers through to the solder. When the solder liquefies it will be drawn into the braid by capillary action. Remove the iron and braid together once solder uptake is sufficient, and trim the used portion of the braid if necessary before proceeding. For larger joints or multiple passes, use fresh braid sections to maintain effective wick performance and avoid contamination of the work area.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate soldering iron temperature for the solder alloy in use and ensure good ventilation or fume extraction when desoldering.
