Yato YT-82541 duct tape is a 10 mm wide, 33 m long polyamide (Kapton-style) tape designed to protect sensitive electronic components and assemblies during high-temperature repair operations. The tape uses a silicone adhesive that leaves no residue and withstands brief direct contact with soldering tips and hot air, making it suitable for tasks where heat resistance and clean removal are required.
The tape resists temperatures up to 300°C for at least 10 seconds in direct contact with a soldering tip and is chemically resistant, providing reliable protection for composite housings, connectors, plugs and other delicate components. Its silicone adhesive ensures clean removal without leaving traces on protected surfaces. The 33 m roll and narrow 10 mm width allow precise application in tight spaces.
Clean and dry the surface before application. Cut the required length of tape and apply it smoothly over the area to protect, pressing down to ensure good adhesion. For soldering or hot-air work, position the tape so that it shields adjacent components from direct heat. After the repair, remove the tape by peeling it off gently; the silicone adhesive is formulated to leave no residue under normal conditions.
Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For best results, avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above the specified resistance threshold; the stated 300°C rating applies to brief direct contact (minimum 10 seconds).
