Sander Accessory YATO YT-83292 flap disc for metal P40 125×22.4 mm depressed center
The YATO Flap Disc YT-83292 is a single flap disc designed for grinding, blending and surface preparation on metals, and it can also be used on wood and certain plastics. It fits angle grinders with a 22.4 mm arbor and has a depressed-centre (puck) shape with a 125 mm diameter for access to slightly recessed areas.
The disc uses alumina abrasive on cloth lamellae bonded with synthetic (epoxy) resin, producing a lightweight, durable body that resists damage during use. Its P40 grit offers aggressive material removal while the fiberglass backing and convex puck shape provide stability and controlled contact when mounted on standard angle grinders.
This flap disc is not intended for use on very soft plastics or materials that melt easily under heat, where clogging or deformation could occur. It is also not suitable for applications requiring very fine finishing beyond the P40 grit, such as final polishing.
Mount the flap disc on a compatible angle grinder with a 22.4 mm arbor according to the grinder manufacturer’s instructions and ensure the disc is secured properly before operation. Use steady, even pressure and move the grinder across the workpiece to avoid gouging; allow the abrasive to remove material rather than forcing the disc. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye, ear and respiratory protection when grinding metal, wood or plastics.
For best results on metal, use moderate feed pressure and keep the disc moving to prevent overheating and prolong disc life; replace the disc when lamellae wear down or performance decreases.
