Sanding discs YATO YT-83430 for random orbital sanders, 125 mm, abrasive P36, pack of 5
Pack of five YATO sanding discs designed for use with random orbital sanders. Each disc measures 125 mm in diameter and features P36 abrasive grit for aggressive material removal. These discs are intended for surface preparation tasks such as paint and rust removal, leveling rough surfaces, and preparing substrates in woodworking and metalworking.
The discs use a Velcro-type (hook-and-loop) fastening for quick attachment and replacement on compatible sanders. The coarse P36 grit provides high removal rate on wood and metal, reducing time spent on heavy sanding and paint or rust stripping. A 125 mm diameter suits common compact random orbital sanders and allows work on both flat and contoured surfaces.
These P36 discs are coarse and designed for heavy material removal; they are not suitable for fine sanding or final finishing where a smooth, scratch-free surface is required. For delicate materials or tasks requiring a fine finish, choose a finer grit.
Attach a disc to the sander's hook-and-loop pad, ensuring it is centred and secure before switching on the tool. Use steady, even pressure and move the sander continuously to avoid creating grooves; allow the abrasive to do the work rather than forcing the tool. Replace the disc when abrasive performance decreases or the backing shows significant wear.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection, dust mask, and hearing protection) and secure the workpiece. Test on a small area first to confirm the grit and abrasive aggressiveness are suitable for the material.
