Yeastar TA100 VoIP telephone adapter
The Yeastar TA100 VoIP telephone adapter is a compact analog telephone adapter (ATA) designed to convert a single analog device — such as an analog telephone or fax machine — to operate on IP networks. The TA100 supports common voice codecs (G.168, G.711, G.729A, G.729B) and fax compatibility via T.31/T.38, and works with both Yeastar and third-party IP phone systems. Its small form factor and USB power option make it suitable for residential users and small businesses that need a cost-effective migration path to IP voice while keeping existing analog equipment in service.
The TA100 provides a feature-rich set of functions including call control features, web-based management and auto provisioning with Yeastar VoIP PBX, enabling straightforward deployment and centralized administration. It supports secure transport and signalling protocols such as TLS and SRTP, and standard network protocols like HTTP/HTTPS, FTP and TFTP for management and firmware upgrade. The device is energy-efficient and compact, powered via a 5 V / 1 A USB supply, which reduces installation complexity and conserves desk or rack space.
Install the TA100 by connecting the analog device (telephone or fax) to the FXS port of the adapter and link the adapter to your IP network via Ethernet. Power the unit using a 5 V/1 A USB source or an available USB port on a PC or IP-PBX if supported. Access the web-based configuration interface using the device IP address to set SIP account details, codec preferences and fax settings. If using a Yeastar VoIP PBX, enable auto provisioning to streamline account setup and apply recommended defaults. Verify call routing, codecs and fax transmission settings during initial testing.
For reliable fax transmission, enable T.38 if supported by your IP network and SIP trunk. Use TLS and SRTP where possible to secure signalling and media. Keep firmware up to date via HTTP/TFTP and use the web-based management or automatic provisioning to maintain consistent settings. Place the adapter close to the powered USB source and ensure the network provides adequate QoS for voice traffic to minimize packet loss and latency.
