The Yeastar TA1610 Gateway is a rack-mountable VoIP gateway that provides analog-to-VoIP connectivity with 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet. Available in port configurations for small and medium deployments, it connects analog telephone lines or PABX extension interfaces to SIP/IAX2 networks and supports common codecs such as G.711 and G.729A. How to use

Mount the TA1610 in a standard 19" rack and connect its Ethernet port to the local network (10/100 Mbit/s). Attach analog PSTN lines or PABX extension interfaces to the FXO ports. Configure SIP/IAX2 trunk settings and preferred codecs via the web-based management interface or use auto provisioning with a Yeastar PBX. Set up firewall, QoS and VLAN parameters as needed and apply firmware updates via HTTP/TFTP.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, place the gateway in a network segment with sufficient bandwidth and enable QoS to prioritise voice traffic. Keep firmware up to date, use the IP blacklist and firewall functions to limit unauthorized access, and use automated provisioning when deploying multiple gateways.
