RFID card reader ZKTECO PROID20 13.56 MHz, Wiegand 26 interface
RFID card reader ZKTECO PROID20 13.56 MHz, Wiegand 26 interface
ZKTECO PROID20 is a 13.56 MHz RFID card reader designed for access control systems. It reads ISO14443A contactless cards and transmits card data via the Wiegand 26 interface for integration with controllers and access panels. The reader features a compact, robust housing with LED indicators for access status and is suitable for installation on doors, gates or other secure entry points both indoors and outdoors.
The PROID20 supports 13.56 MHz ISO14443A cards and provides fast read times (up to 300 ms). Its Wiegand 26 output ensures compatibility with common access controllers. The unit is IP65 rated for water resistance, operates in temperatures from -10°C to +65°C, and can be mounted on metal frames. Low current consumption and a durable ABS/PC enclosure make it practical for continuous access control use.
Mount the reader on a flat surface or door frame using appropriate screws and ensure secure grounding if required by the installation. Connect power (7–13 V DC) and the Wiegand 26 data lines to the access controller according to the controller and reader wiring diagrams. Present a compatible 13.56 MHz ISO14443A card within the reading range (up to 5 cm) to authenticate; the LED indicators will show access granted or denied. Verify wiring and functionality after installation and register cards on the access control system as needed.
For reliable long-term operation, install the reader in a sheltered position when possible, keep the reading area free of metal obstructions, use the recommended power supply range (7–13 V DC), and follow manufacturer wiring diagrams. Regularly check seals and mounting hardware to maintain the IP65 protection level.
