RFID card reader ZKTECO PROID30 13.56 MHz Wiegand 26 with touch keypad
ZKTECO PROID30 is an RFID card reader operating at 13.56 MHz with an integrated touch keypad and Wiegand 26 output. The reader supports ISO14443A compatible ID cards and is designed for access control installations such as doors and turnstiles. Its compact ABS/PC housing with LED indicators provides clear allowed/denied signals while the device is rated IP65 and works in temperatures from -10°C to +65°C, allowing indoor and outdoor mounting including on metal door frames.
The PROID30 combines a 13.56 MHz ISO14443A reader with a touch keypad in a single compact unit, providing quick credential scanning (up to 300 ms) and Wiegand 26 output for easy integration with common access control panels. The reader supports mounting on metal door frames, offers visual feedback via red/green LEDs, consumes under 70 mA and accepts 7–13 V DC supply. Its IP65 rating and wide operating temperature range make it suitable for varied installation environments.
Install the reader near the controlled door or turnstile and connect power (7–13 V DC) and Wiegand 26 data lines to the access control panel following the panel manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Mount the unit on a suitable surface or metal door frame using appropriate screws; the reader’s design supports direct installation on metal. Present a compatible 13.56 MHz ISO14443A card to the reader within the effective range (up to 5 cm) and, if required, enter a PIN on the touch keypad. The red/green LED indicates access granted or denied.
For reliable operation, use ISO14443A compatible cards or tags, protect wiring from moisture and electromagnetic interference, and ensure the power supply provides stable 7–13 V DC. Regularly check seals and mounting if installed outdoors to maintain IP65 protection. Follow local safety and installation standards when wiring to access control panels.
