Description

The 2N® 2Wire is a pair of signal converters that enables connection of an IP device at a location without IP wiring to an existing network using the building's analogue distribution cabling. The two convertors are linked via the original doorbell or intercom analogue mains; one converter connects to the IP device (for example, an IP intercom) and the other to a network switch. The solution transmits audio, video and power over a single analogue cable and requires no device configuration.

How to use

Connect the two converters to each other through the existing analogue distribution mains of the original doorbell or intercom. Attach one converter to the IP device (for example an IP intercom) and the other converter to a network switch. Power is supplied and audio/video signals are transmitted over the single analogue cable; no additional IP configuration is required on the converters themselves.

Usage recommendations

Use existing intact analogue cabling and verify continuity before installation. Ensure the IP device and switch are powered according to their specifications and placed in a location with adequate ventilation.
