Patch panel 1U A-LAN PK013 — 24‑port RJ‑45 U/UTP Cat5e, 483×44×50 mm
The Alantec PK013 is a 1U patch panel designed for Gigabit Ethernet installations. It serves as a basic element of a structured cabling system, intended for use in major and intermediate distribution points of high-speed telecommunications networks. Available in unshielded (UTP) and shielded (STP) variants, the STP version provides protection against electromagnetic interference. The panel measures 483 mm (width) x 50 mm (height) x 44 mm (depth) and comes in black with 24 RJ-45 ports supporting Cat5e cabling.
The patch panel offers a compact 1U form factor for efficient rack space utilization and a standardized 483 mm width for compatibility with typical 19-inch racks. With 24 RJ-45 ports and Cat5e support it enables reliable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The availability of both UTP and STP types allows selection based on site requirements for electromagnetic protection.
Mount the patch panel into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rack screws. Terminate Cat5e cables to the rear IDC or keystone modules following T568A or T568B wiring standard used in your infrastructure. Connect network devices to the front RJ-45 ports with patch cords to establish links. Label ports as needed to reflect rack and network topology for easier management.
Choose the STP variant in environments with significant electromagnetic interference; otherwise the UTP version is suitable for most office and data room installations. Maintain proper cable management and avoid sharp bends to preserve signal integrity.
