Patch panel 19" A-LAN modular 48 ports 1U, unpopulated, model PK046
The A-LAN 19" modular patch panel PK046 is a 1U, unpopulated panel that provides space for up to 48 modular ports. Designed for standard 19-inch racks, this patch panel accepts keystone-style inserts or RJ45 modules to terminate copper network cabling. Its unpopulated configuration allows you to select and install the specific keystone jacks, shielding options and port types required for your structured cabling project, whether in server rooms, network closets or data centers.
The modular design enables flexible port configuration and simple future upgrades without replacing the entire panel. A 1U form factor conserves rack space while supporting a high port density of up to 48 connections. Compatibility with common keystone and RJ45 modules ensures interoperability with a wide range of copper cabling components. The unpopulated format reduces inventory complexity by allowing deployment with only the needed modules and shielding types.
Mount the PK046 in a standard 19-inch rack using the front mounting holes and appropriate rack screws. Install the chosen keystone or RJ45 modules into the panel openings according to the module manufacturer instructions. Terminate the copper network cables on the rear of the installed modules and label each port as required for identification. Ensure that grounding or shielding measures are applied when using shielded modules, and route patch cords on the front side for patching to active equipment.
Choose modules that match your cabling category (for example, Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6A) to maintain link performance; verify module and cable compatibility before installation. Use cable management and labeling to keep high port density organized and accessible. When using shielded modules, ensure proper chassis grounding to preserve EMI protection.
