ABB AF12-30-10-13 Contactor 12A 100-250V AC/DC
The ABB AF12-30-10-13 is a high-performance 3-pole contactor engineered for reliable power switching in demanding industrial and commercial environments. This unit is designed to control motors up to 5.5 kW at 400V AC or 7.5 hp at 480V UL, while also handling power circuits up to 28A. Featuring advanced AF technology, it incorporates an electronic coil interface that supports a wide control voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, ensuring stable operation even in networks with significant voltage fluctuations.
The primary benefit of this contactor is its versatile AF technology, which significantly reduces energy consumption within control panels and maintains consistent performance during voltage instability. The built-in surge protection eliminates the need for additional external components, resulting in a more compact and efficient installation. Its block-type design allows for easy integration into existing systems and supports the addition of auxiliary contact blocks and various other accessories to meet specific application requirements.
This contactor is not intended for applications exceeding its rated capacity of 5.5 kW for motor control or 28A for general use. It is also not suitable for environments that require specialized ingress protection ratings beyond the standard industrial design, or for applications involving non-standard control voltages outside the specified 100-250V AC/DC range.
The contactor is designed for wall mounting within a control cabinet or enclosure. Ensure that the power supply is disconnected before installation. Connect the main power lines to the primary terminals and the control signal wires to the coil terminals. The screw terminals provide a secure connection for standard wiring. Once installed, the unit can be expanded with additional auxiliary contact blocks if the specific control logic requires more feedback points.
For optimal longevity and performance, ensure that the contactor is installed in an environment free from excessive dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Regularly inspect the screw terminal connections to ensure they remain tight, especially in applications subject to vibration.
