Circuit breaker ABB SH201 B25 1-pole B curve 25 A (MPN 2CDS211001R0255)
ABB SH201 B25 is a single-pole miniature circuit breaker with a B-type tripping characteristic and a rated current of 25 A. It is designed to provide overcurrent protection for branch circuits in residential, commercial and light industrial electrical installations. The device is compatible with standard DIN-rail switchgear and can be used as part of coordinated protection schemes in distribution boards.
The circuit breaker provides reliable overload and short-circuit protection with a defined B curve tripping characteristic suitable for circuits with predominantly resistive loads. Its compact miniature design allows space-efficient mounting on standard DIN rails. The device offers simple mechanical operation, clear trip indication and compatibility with common modular switchgear accessories for easy integration into distribution boards.
This 1-pole B-curve breaker is not intended for protection of circuits with high inrush currents from motors, transformers or certain electronic loads where a C- or D-curve characteristic is typically required. It is also not a replacement for residual-current devices when ground-fault protection is required; installation should include appropriate complementary protective devices where necessary.
Install the circuit breaker on a standard DIN rail inside the distribution board according to local electrical regulations. Connect the phase conductor to the line terminal and the load conductor to the load terminal, ensuring secure torque on all connections. Switch the device to the ON position for normal operation. In the event of an overload or short-circuit the breaker will trip and must be manually reset after clearing the fault. Coordinate with downstream and upstream protective devices as required for system selectivity.
For reliable operation, use this breaker on circuits with predominantly resistive loads such as lighting and general-purpose sockets, avoid motor or transformer inrush conditions without evaluating whether a C-curve device is more appropriate, and always install and test in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
