Description

The ACT USB-C Docking Station 4K (AC7150) converts a Windows laptop or MacBook into a three-display workstation using a single fixed 1 m USB-C cable. Equipped with DisplayLink® technology, the dock supports two additional 4K HDMI monitors (up to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz), Gigabit Ethernet, two USB-C (10 Gbps) and four USB-A (5 Gbps) ports, a 3.5 mm headset jack and a security slot. Power Delivery passthrough supports up to 85W when you connect your laptop charger to the PD port. The compact 113 × 113 × 30 mm housing is suitable for work and travel and is DisplayLink Certified.

DisplayLink® chipset ensures broad compatibility with both macOS and Windows systems that support USB-C, and the Gigabit LAN port offers stable wired network access. PD passthrough (max. 85W) allows charging through the dock when a USB-C power adapter is connected to the passthrough port. The unit is compact and easy to carry between locations.

How to use

Connect the dock’s fixed USB-C cable to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop. For charging via the dock, plug your laptop’s USB-C charger into the dock’s PD passthrough port. Attach up to two HDMI monitors to the HDMI outputs to extend the desktop using DisplayLink drivers if required. Plug in Ethernet and USB peripherals as needed. If your laptop only has USB-A, use the supplied USB-C to USB-A adapter and install drivers when prompted; note that PD passthrough will not function over USB-A and an external power supply will be required for laptop charging.

Usage recommendations

Use the latest DisplayLink drivers for macOS or Windows to ensure stable multi-monitor support. Connect a USB-C power adapter with sufficient wattage (up to 85W) to the dock’s PD passthrough port when charging your laptop. When using the supplied USB-C to USB-A adapter, be prepared to install drivers and provide a separate laptop power source because Power Delivery passthrough is disabled over USB-A.
