Patch Cable ACT Green 1.5m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A
The ACT Green 1.5m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is a slimline Ethernet patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers and compact network installations. With a 1.5 meter length, snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts, the cable provides reliable connectivity while the U/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference. The LSZH jacket minimizes smoke and halogen release for safer indoor use, and the reduced 3.8 mm diameter supports improved airflow and space-efficient routing in crowded cabinets.
The slimline construction (3.8 mm diameter) offers a smaller bending radius and better airflow compared with regular CAT6A patch cords, making it suitable for dense rack environments. U/FTP shielding improves signal integrity by reducing crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts and snagless boots ensure secure mating and protection during installation. The LSZH outer jacket reduces hazardous fumes in case of fire. While the cable uses thinner conductors (approximately 32 AWG), ACT recommends shorter permanent link lengths to accommodate the higher attenuation at higher frequencies.
Route the ACT Green CAT6A patch cable between RJ45 ports on switches, patch panels and servers, ensuring connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Use the snagless boot to avoid catching the clip during installation. For optimal performance in permanent link topologies, follow ACT’s guidance to limit patch cord length relative to link length because the thinner 32 AWG conductor increases attenuation at higher frequencies. Keep the cable free from sharp bends and avoid kinking to preserve the slimline structure and maintain signal quality.
ACT advises limiting PoE bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to control temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A specifies that the center cable temperature increase should remain below 15°C above ambient. Also consider shorter permanent link lengths when using these 32 AWG slimline cords to accommodate higher attenuation.
