Patch Cable ACT Red 0.25m LSZH U/UTP CAT6
The ACT Red 0.25m LSZH U/UTP CAT6 slimline patch cable (MPN DC9552, EAN 8716065404500) is a short high-performance Ethernet lead designed for space-constrained environments such as data centres and professional network racks. Its reduced diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) and U/UTP construction provide a smaller bending radius and improved airflow in cabinets compared with regular CAT6 patch cords. The cable uses RJ-45 connectors with gold plating and an LSZH jacket to limit smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire.
The slimline CAT6 design saves space and supports better cabinet airflow due to its smaller diameter and lower bending radius. The LSZH jacket reduces harmful smoke in fire situations, and the gold-plated RJ-45 connectors help maintain reliable signal contact. This 0.25 m red patch cable is suitable for short links where a compact, identifiable connection is required.
Install the patch cable between the intended ports on your switch, patch panel or device, ensuring that the cable is routed without sharp bends and within the recommended bending radius for the slimline design. Use the short 0.25 m length for direct, point-to-point connections where minimal slack is required. When connecting equipment, insert the RJ-45 plugs until the latch clicks to ensure secure contact.
For PoE deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to reduce temperature rise in the bundle. Because 28 AWG conductors have higher attenuation than 24 AWG, ACT recommends shorter permanent link lengths when using these slimline CAT6 patch cords to compensate for increased loss, and to follow relevant standards (for example ANSI TSB-184-A) regarding temperature and installation limits.
