The ACT Blue 1 meter LSZH U/UTP CAT6 datacenter slimline snagless RJ45 patch cable is designed for high-speed Ethernet connections in data centres and dense network cabinets. The slimline cable has a reduced diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) compared with regular CAT6 patch cords, enabling improved cable routing and increased airflow inside racks. Snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts ensure reliable connections and reduced wear during repeated plugging.

Advantages

The slimline U/UTP design occupies less space and lowers the bending radius compared with standard 24 AWG patch cords, which helps with tidier cable management and better airflow in cabinets. LSZH jacket material reduces hazardous smoke and corrosive gases in the event of fire. Snagless boots protect the RJ45 clip during installation and the gold-plated contacts provide stable signal transfer.

To accommodate extra attenuation, ACT recommends using shorter permanent link lengths than with standard 24 AWG cables. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to help control temperature rise; current guidance (ANSI TSB-184-A) aims to keep the centre cable temperature increase below 15 °C above ambient.
