Patch Cable ACT Green 1 meter LSZH U/UTP CAT6
The ACT Green 1 meter LSZH U/UTP CAT6 patch cable is a slimline datacenter cable designed for high-speed data transmission in confined spaces. With a reduced diameter compared to regular CAT6 cords, it improves airflow in network cabinets while providing reliable connectivity via snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and U/UTP construction that minimizes interference.
This slimline CAT6 cable has a smaller diameter and a reduced bending radius, which aids cable management and increases cabinet airflow. The LSZH jacket lowers smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire. Snagless RJ45 plugs and gold-plated contacts ensure stable connections. The U/UTP design reduces electromagnetic interference, supporting consistent performance in datacenter environments.
Connect one RJ45 plug to the network port of a switch, patch panel or device and the other plug to the corresponding port. Route the slimline cable through rack openings and cable management panels, taking advantage of the reduced diameter to maintain better airflow. For best signal integrity, avoid sharp bends beyond the cable's minimum bending radius and ensure secure seating of the connectors.
Use 28 AWG slimline cables for short permanent link lengths; higher attenuation can occur at higher frequencies compared with standard 24 AWG patchcords, so ACT recommends reducing permanent link length accordingly. In Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables to help control temperature rise in the bundle and comply with current guidance (ANSI TSB-184-A) that limits temperature increase for the centre cable.
