Patch Cable ACT Yellow 0.5m LSZH U/UTP CAT6
The ACT Yellow 0.5m LSZH U/UTP CAT6 patch cable is a slimline datacenter ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission in confined wiring environments. With a reduced outer diameter and U/UTP construction, it supports CAT6 performance and simplifies cable management in racks and cabinets while using LSZH jacket material for improved safety in enclosed spaces.
Compared with regular CAT6 patch cords, the slimline 3.8 mm diameter reduces occupied space and allows a smaller bending radius, improving airflow in cabinets. Snagless RJ45 connectors with gold plating ensure reliable connections. While the cable uses a thinner conductor (28 AWG) than typical 24 AWG patchcords, its design maintains CAT6 compatibility for short-range high-speed links.
Install the patch cable by inserting each RJ45 connector into the corresponding patch panel or network device port until it clicks. Route the cable following standard cable management practices to maintain the recommended bending radius; avoid sharp bends and kinks. For optimal performance, keep the patch length short and avoid running the cable alongside large sources of electromagnetic interference.
ACT recommends accounting for the higher attenuation of 28 AWG slimline cables by using shorter permanent link lengths compared with standard 24 AWG patchcords. In Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables to help control temperature rise; current guidance (ANSI TSB-184-A) aims to restrict the centre-cable temperature increase to less than 15°C above ambient.
