Fiber Patch Cable Duplex SC SC 20m ACT
The ACT Fiber Patch Cable Duplex SC SC 20m is a singlemode 9/125 OS2 patch lead designed for reliable fiber-optic connections over longer indoor distances. The cable is assembled with duplex SC connectors at both ends and 9/125 singlemode fiber core construction to support high-speed, long-reach transmission with low attenuation. The outer jacket is manufactured in a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material suitable for indoor installations where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are required.
This 20 m singlemode fiber patch cable provides stable optical performance with low insertion loss and return loss characteristics typical of OS2 9/125 fibers. The duplex SC–SC connector format ensures secure, keyed connections that are easy to plug and unplug in patch panels and equipment ports. The LSZH jacket improves safety for enclosed spaces by minimizing toxic smoke in the event of fire, while the cable construction supports consistent signal integrity across the run.
Route the cable along cable trays or within conduit where appropriate, avoiding tight bends and kinks; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius for singlemode 9/125 fiber. Insert the duplex SC connectors into corresponding SC ports on patch panels, transceivers or networking equipment until the connector latch clicks into place. When disconnecting, press the SC latch and pull straight out to avoid stress on the connector. Keep connector endfaces clean and protected with dust caps when not in use to maintain optical performance.
Store and handle the fiber cable in a dry environment and avoid exposure to excessive tensile force. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before installation. For installations in high-density racks or conduits, verify bend radius and strain relief, and choose the required connector polish type (UPC or APC) according to equipment specifications to ensure optimal return loss and link performance.
