ACT 5 meter LSZH Singlemode 9/125 OS2 Fiber Patch Cable Duplex with LC and ST Connectors
The ACT 5 meter LSZH Singlemode 9/125 OS2 Fiber Patch Cable Duplex with LC and ST Connectors is a 5 m duplex singlemode patch cable designed for indoor optical links. Constructed with OS2 singlemode fiber (9/125 µm) and low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket material, it supports long-distance, high-speed data transmission while reducing toxic and corrosive gas emission in case of fire. The duplex configuration and mixed LC–ST connector set provide flexible connection options for network equipment, fiber patch panels, media converters and telecommunications hardware.
The LSZH jacket lowers the release of hazardous fumes and is suitable for enclosed spaces where fire safety regulations require halogen-free materials. The 9/125 OS2 fiber core ensures low attenuation and compatibility with singlemode transceivers and systems. The duplex design enables bi-directional communication on paired fibers, while the combination of LC and ST connectors allows connection to equipment with different port types without additional adapters. The cable’s 5 meter length balances reach and cable management convenience.
Inspect connectors and fiber ends before installation to ensure they are clean and undamaged. Route the cable following proper bend radius guidelines for singlemode fiber to avoid microbending or macrobending losses. Insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC socket and the ST connector into the matching ST port; ensure secure seating and locking where applicable. For best performance, keep connectors capped when not in use and perform optical loss tests after installation to verify link quality.
Use fiber cleaning tools or wipes specifically designed for optical connectors before mating. Avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain on the cable; secure with appropriate cable management accessories and maintain a minimum bend radius as specified by the fiber manufacturer.
