Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC ST 1.5m ACT
The ACT Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC ST 1.5m is a singlemode 9/125 OS2 patch lead designed for reliable high-speed optical connections. With duplex termination using an LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other, this 1.5 meter cable supports long-distance singlemode transmission while maintaining low insertion loss. The jacket is made from LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material, reducing toxic and corrosive emissions in case of fire and making the cable appropriate for indoor installations in data centres, telecom rooms, and controlled network environments.
The cable delivers consistent singlemode performance suitable for OS2 networks, offering low attenuation and stable signal integrity across the optical link. Its duplex LC–ST configuration provides compatibility with a variety of optical transceivers and equipment panels. The LSZH jacket enhances safety for indoor deployment by minimising smoke and halogen emissions. The 1.5 m length balances convenience and neat rack-side patching without excessive slack.
Verify that connected devices accept LC and ST connectors and that the network transceivers are singlemode-compatible. Before insertion, inspect connector endfaces for contamination and clean them with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools if necessary. Align and insert the LC connector into the LC receptacle and the ST connector into the ST receptacle until a secure connection is achieved. Route the cable along cable management pathways to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation or fibre damage. For duplex links ensure correct polarity according to your network topology.
Store and install the cable in dry indoor environments and avoid exposure to prolonged UV, direct sunlight or mechanical stress. Use proper fibre cleaning procedures and handle connectors by the boot to avoid touching the ferrule. For installations in public or high-occupancy spaces, prefer LSZH materials as used here to comply with low-smoke safety requirements.
