Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC SC 15m ACT RL8515
The ACT Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC SC 15m RL8515 is a 15-meter multimode OM2 (50/125 µm) fiber optic patch cord with LC connector on one end and SC connector on the other. Constructed with an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer jacket, the cable is intended for indoor networking installations where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are required. The duplex design supports bi-directional connections and is suitable for linking network equipment, patch panels and transceivers in office or data centre environments.
This multimode OM2 fiber cable provides consistent signal transmission over moderate distances and supports typical LAN and data centre links. The duplex LC–SC connector pairing offers compatibility with a wide range of devices and patch panels while maintaining low insertion loss. The LSZH jacket enhances safety in enclosed spaces by limiting smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire. The cable’s construction balances flexibility for routing and sufficient mechanical robustness for repeated moves and re-terminations.
Route the cable between the intended connection points taking care to avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile force. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until they click or seat firmly; ensure connector endfaces are clean before mating to minimise insertion loss and back reflections. Secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories in racks or conduits to prevent strain on the connectors. For best performance, follow facility cabling standards and keep multimode links within recommended distance limits for the supported equipment and data rates.
Before installation, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools. Use gentle handling and maintain minimum bend radius as specified by industry guidelines to preserve optical performance. In LSZH environments, confirm that all other cabling and accessories meet the same safety requirements for consistent fire-safety behaviour.
