Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC SC 3m ACT RL8903
The ACT Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC SC 3m RL8903 is a 3-meter singlemode fiber patch lead designed for reliable, high-speed optical connections. It uses 9/125 µm OS2 singlemode fiber with duplex termination: an LC connector at one end and an SC connector at the other. The cable jacket is made from LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material to reduce smoke and corrosive gas emissions in the event of fire, making it suitable for installations in data centres, telecommunications rooms and other confined indoor spaces. The construction delivers low insertion loss and low return loss for stable signal transmission across long distances.
The cable combines OS2 singlemode fiber performance with a duplex LC-to-SC connector configuration to offer compatibility with a wide range of network equipment. Its LSZH jacket enhances safety in environments where fire-related smoke and toxic fumes must be minimised. At 3 metres length, the cable provides a convenient reach for patching between racks, panels and optical transceivers while keeping cable management straightforward. Its standardized connector types and polished fiber endfaces ensure consistent optical characteristics and reduced signal reflections.
Identify the required ports on your equipment: insert the LC connector into the LC receptacle and the SC connector into the SC adapter or port, ensuring correct orientation for duplex pairs. Handle the fiber connector endfaces by the connector body and avoid touching the ferrule. For best performance, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces with an appropriate fiber cleaning tool prior to insertion. Route the cable through cable management trays or between patch panels to avoid tight bends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified for singlemode fiber.
Store the cable coiled without sharp kinks and avoid stretching or excessive mechanical stress. Use LC and SC dust caps when connectors are unused. For installations in regulated environments, confirm LSZH compliance with local safety requirements and use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and prevent microbending losses.
