Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC 2m ACT RL9702
The ACT Fiber Patch Cable Duplex LC 2m RL9702 is a 2-meter multimode fiber optic cable designed for indoor network connections. It uses 50/125 µm OM4 multimode fiber and duplex LC connectors to support high-speed data transmission between switches, servers, transceivers and patch panels. The cable jacket is made from LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material to reduce smoke and toxic emissions in confined spaces, making it suitable for data centers, office environments and other indoor installations where fire safety and limited space are priorities.
This duplex LC fiber patch cable provides low insertion loss and high bandwidth capabilities typical of OM4 multimode fiber, enabling reliable short- to medium-range links. The LC connectors offer a compact footprint for high-density patch panels and transceiver ports. The LSZH jacket minimizes hazardous fumes in the event of fire and helps meet safety requirements for indoor cabling. The 2-meter length balances flexibility and signal integrity for common rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections.
Inspect connectors and ports for dust or debris before installation; use appropriate fiber-cleaning tools if necessary. Align the duplex LC connector keyed orientation with the transceiver or patch panel port and insert until it clicks into place. Route the cable to avoid tight bends—maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius—to preserve optical performance. For removal, press the LC connector latch and pull straight out without twisting. For installations in racks and cable management systems, secure the cable using Velcro ties or dedicated fiber management hardware rather than metal ties to avoid compression.
Store and handle the cable on a clean surface and keep dust caps in place until final connection. For best performance in multimode OM4 links, pair this cable with compatible OM4 transceivers and maintain recommended link budgets. Choose appropriate cable lengths to minimize unnecessary slack and preserve signal integrity in active installations.
