The CATX DisplayPort CAM by Adder is a compact computer access module that extends a DisplayPort-equipped computer over standard CATx cabling to distances up to 300 metres. The module connects to the computer's DisplayPort video output plus USB and audio ports and links via CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 cable to AdderView CATx KVM switches or Adder extender receivers (such as AdderLink X2 Silver or X200). At the remote end, display, keyboard, mouse and speakers are connected to the corresponding receiver.

How to use

Connect the CAM to the computer’s DisplayPort output and to available USB and audio ports. Run a CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 cable from the CAM to a compatible AdderView CATx KVM switch or directly to a supported Adder extender receiver located up to 300 metres away. At the remote receiver, connect the monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. Power and any additional configuration are handled by the connected Adder receiver or switch according to its instructions.
