KVM extender Adder X-USBPRO-IEC
The Adder X-USBPRO-IEC KVM extender transmits USB, video and audio signals up to 300 m (1000 ft) over a single CATx cable, supporting high-resolution video and USB 2.0 peripherals. It is designed for professional installations that require long-distance signal extension with adjustable video compensation and a local feed-through for convenient local console access.
The unit delivers VGA resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 300 m by using a variable noise filter and multi-pole video compensation to preserve image clarity over long cable runs. The transmitter is USB-powered (with optional external supply), the receiver includes a 4-port USB hub for multiple devices, and audio is carried as CD-quality stereo. The extender supports emulated two-page DDC EDID for compatibility with high-performance graphics cards and can be rack-mounted (up to 16 units in a 2U chassis) or used standalone.
Connect the transmitter module to the host computer using its USB and video connectors; power the transmitter from the host USB port or an external supply if needed. Run a single CATx cable from the transmitter to the receiver up to 300 m. At the receiver, connect the monitor, USB peripherals and audio devices to the local ports; the receiver provides a 4-port USB hub to attach keyboard, mouse, flash drives, webcams or other USB devices. Use the receiver's video compensation controls to adjust cable type, length, colour skew and gain for optimal image quality.
For best results, use high-quality CATx cable and verify the host USB port provides sufficient power; if not, connect the optional external power supply. When two X-USB PRO units are linked to a single computer, both users can interact simultaneously and arbitration is handled by the computer's USB subsystem—expect combined input behavior from keyboards and mice.
