KVM extender pair Adder Link XD522 DisplayPort over IP (model XD522-DP-PAIR-EURO)
Adder Link XD522 is a pair of KVM extenders for DisplayPort that transmit video and KVM signals over an IP network. Supplied as a transmitter–receiver set, the unit allows secure remote access to a DisplayPort source from a separate console. Designed for control rooms, broadcast and AV installations, the system separates the user station from the source while preserving high-resolution video and real-time keyboard/mouse control over an existing IP infrastructure.
The Adder Link XD522 supports high-resolution DisplayPort video distribution over standard IP networks, enabling centralized source management and flexible placement of operator consoles. The system reduces the need for long dedicated cabling and simplifies installation by using network switches for extending signals. It preserves keyboard and mouse responsiveness with low-latency KVM transmission and supports secure, point-to-point or routed connections depending on network design.
Install the transmitter at the DisplayPort source and the receiver at the remote console location. Connect DisplayPort video and USB keyboard/mouse to the transmitter, and connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the receiver. Link both units via an IP network using Ethernet switches or direct connection according to the network design. Configure network settings and any necessary routing or security options to establish a stable, low-latency KVM session between source and console.
For optimal performance, use a managed network switch with sufficient bandwidth and QoS configuration to prioritise video and KVM traffic. Ensure consistent firmware versions on both units and follow best practices for network security and segmentation when deploying in sensitive environments.
