Elbow 90° PE AKA Kolano 90º J-64 50 mm (PE-56-050)
AKA Kolano 90º PE J-64 is a 90-degree polyethylene elbow with a 50 mm nominal diameter designed to change flow direction in polyethylene piping systems. The fitting provides a compact, right-angle connection compatible with 50 mm PE pipes and can be used in water supply, irrigation and drainage installations in residential, agricultural and light commercial settings. Its simple geometry and PE construction make it suitable for standard-pressure PE pipelines where a durable directional change is required.
The elbow is made from polyethylene material that offers resistance to corrosion and many common chemicals found in water and irrigation systems. Its smooth internal surface reduces flow resistance and buildup, while the compact 90° design allows for space-efficient routing of pipes. Installation is straightforward when used with compatible PE joining methods and provides a leak-minimizing, rigid change of direction for polyethylene lines.
Prepare pipe ends according to the chosen joining method for PE systems (butt fusion, electrofusion or appropriate mechanical couplings) and ensure ends are clean and free of debris. Position the 90° elbow to align pipe direction and perform the chosen joining technique following manufacturer and industry safety guidelines. After joining, allow any cooling or curing time recommended for the joining method before pressurizing the system. Verify the connection with a pressure or leak test as applicable to the installation.
Use the elbow within the pressure and temperature limits appropriate for the polyethylene pipe system and follow recommended joining procedures for 50 mm PE piping. Avoid exposing the fitting to unsupported mechanical loads or prolonged UV exposure without suitable protection. Inspect joints after initial pressurization and periodically during service to ensure integrity.
