AKA 90° PE Elbow J-71 25 mm with 3/4" Female Thread is a polyethylene right-angle fitting designed to connect 25 mm PE pipes while providing a 3/4" female threaded outlet. The fitting allows a secure transition from a continuous PE pipeline to threaded components such as valves, taps or hose connectors. Constructed from corrosion-resistant plastic, it is intended for water distribution, plumbing and irrigation installations where a compact 90° change of direction and a threaded interface are required.
This 90° PE elbow offers a lightweight and durable solution for creating right-angle connections in polyethylene piping systems. Its integrated 3/4" female thread eliminates the need for additional adapters when attaching threaded valves or fittings. The plastic material resists corrosion and scaling, reduces the risk of galvanic reaction, and suits potable water and outdoor irrigation use. Its compact design simplifies installation in confined spaces and minimizes pressure losses associated with directional changes.
Prepare the PE pipe end by cutting squarely and removing burrs. Insert the pipe into the elbow’s PE joint following the manufacturer’s recommended joining method for polyethylene (e.g., electrofusion, butt fusion, or compression coupler as applicable). Tighten or seal the 3/4" female thread to the corresponding male threaded fitting using an appropriate sealant such as PTFE tape or thread sealant compatible with potable water if required. Verify alignment and test the assembled section under pressure according to installation standards and local regulations.
Use compatible joining methods and certified threaded fittings. Avoid overtightening threaded connections to prevent damage to the plastic thread. Perform pressure tests after installation and protect the fitting from prolonged UV exposure when used in direct sunlight.
