AKA 90° PE Elbow J-71 32 mm with 3/4" Female Thread (PE-58-232)
AKA 90° PE Elbow J-71 for 32 mm polyethylene pipe provides a compact angled transition with an integrated 3/4" female threaded connection. Designed for changing the direction of PE piping by 90 degrees while allowing direct attachment of 3/4" threaded fittings or valves, this elbow is intended for potable water and general plumbing installations where a reliable, space-saving connection is required.
The elbow combines a smooth internal flow path with a rigid 90° geometry to reduce turbulence at the bend. Its integrated 3/4" female thread eliminates the need for additional adapters or unions, simplifying installation and reducing potential leak points. Manufactured for use with 32 mm polyethylene pipe, the part is suitable for potable water systems and general plumbing applications where corrosion resistance and long service life are needed.
Prepare the 32 mm polyethylene pipe by cutting squarely and deburring the end. Ensure the pipe is clean and free of dirt or debris before insertion. Insert the PE pipe into the elbow connection according to the manufacturer’s recommended joining method for polyethylene (e.g., mechanical clamp, electrofusion or approved compression fitting), then tighten any required fastenings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the 3/4" male thread of the mating fitting before engaging with the elbow’s integrated female thread, and tighten to the recommended torque for the fitting type.
For potable water installations, verify compatibility of joining methods and thread sealant with local plumbing codes and standards. Avoid excessive bending or stress on the polyethylene pipe near the elbow; support adjacent pipe runs and fittings to prevent movement that could compromise the connection.
